Tonga natural basket are named after the baTonga tribe who weave the basket. Local ilala palm frond is used in the weaving of these shallow basket. A single basket, with its intricate weave, may take up to 3 days to complete. Due to the natural fibre used there may be a slight yellow or pink undertone to the basket.
